David Sedlak is a PhD candidate at the University of Birmingham, where he is specialising in atom interferometry. David’s research is focused on enabling gravity gradiometers to operate in applications that require the sensor to be moving. In particular, David is investigating methods to enhance the data rate of practical gravity gradiometers and the systematic effects that arise during motion, including modelling and future experimental investigation of cross-coupling effects. In this talk, David will give an overview of cold atom gravity gradiometry activities within the hub, including recent demonstrations in the field.
